School workstations and recording studios are available for students to self-study and practice concepts and complete course assignments. The spaces offered are allocated according to the course requirements and development.

In order to access Solent University, and be able to complete your studies with a Bachelor's degree, the entry requirements are the following: 

Academic

• Baccalaureate or equivalent A-levels studies. Students with inferior studies must organize an interview with the school director 
• Successful completion of the 2-year diploma gives access to the third university year (top up course) in England, at the Solent University.
• English language level IELTS certification with the cutoff score of 6 in speaking and writing.

All of these requirements must be met when registering at the university.

Student VISA:

• For students from the European Union, a student visa is not required.
• To obtain a student visa, please check the regulations. Our 2-year diploma is a non-regulated course.
• To pursue your studies in the UK, enrolling in the third year of a bachelor's degree is recognized as an official course, making you eligible to apply for a UK student visa.

Materials

• The centre provides all the necessary materials for the course, as well as the availability of recording studios for the course studies and to work on projects, practice, and study.

Available schedules

The Diploma in Music Production has the following available schedule, Monday to Friday:

First year

Schedule in Barcelona

• Afternoon schedule, Monday to Friday from 15:30h to 20:30h.

The final class schedule is published at the beginning of the course. In addition to the teaching hours, students must set aside time to study and complete the exercises and/or projects assigned during each trimester. Access to classrooms and studios is available for this purpose (depending on the course level, one or the other is provided).

Observations;

• Applications are treated on a first-come-first-serve basis
• This course requires a minimum of 8 students

Methodology

The methodology used in the course is based on a blended learning format, incorporating activities that evolve in our classrooms and recording studios, supported by our virtual campus. Said activities include collaborative practices, magisterial classes, discussion forums and group projects among others. The course content is available online, accessible 24 hours, on any electronic device (i.e. computer, tablet and mobile). The debate forums will stimulate critical thinking/analysis along with the exchange of ideas. The practices and projects objective is, learning by doing, and working in teams with other students. This is all closely overseen and led by our highly specialized educators, all of whom have extensive experience in the field.

This course consists of the two-year Diploma in Music Production at Microfusa school, followed by a third year at one of the universities in the United Kingdom with which Microfusa has an agreement.

The prices shown below are for the 1st year.

Option A · Early payment (with discount)

• Total price: €6,360. Includes a €400 discount.
• Enrolment deposit: €300. Paid when reserving your place. It forms part of the total price.
• Single payment: €6,060. Bank transfer or payment link provided after reserving your place. Deadline for the discount: 15 calendar days from the date of reservation.

Option B · Monthly direct debit payment.

• Total price: €6,760
• Enrolment deposit: €300. Paid when reserving your place. It forms part of the total price.
• Initial payment: €1,420. Bank transfer or payment link provided after reserving your place. Deadline: 15 September.
• 8 monthly payments: €630/month. Direct debit payments from November to June, both inclusive.

*We also offer a payment method split into 3 instalments not collected by direct debit. Please enquire about this payment method. In this case, the place reservation is made in the same way as for the other two methods, through our course page on the website.

The full study pathway is organised as follows:

1st and 2nd years · At Microfusa School

• The same price each year: the 2nd year costs the same as the 1st.
• The same payment methods: you can choose Option A (early payment with a €400 discount) or Option B (monthly direct debit payment) again.
• This allows you to plan your first two years with peace of mind.

3rd year · At the university

• The final year takes place directly at the British university
• Each university sets and publishes its own fees and conditions, which may vary from one academic year to the next.
• Indicative cost: between £14,000 and £17,000 for the full academic year at universities in the United Kingdom.
• Universities sometimes offer discounts to our students, although these cannot always be guaranteed.
• We recommend checking the current fees on the website of your chosen university.

Before you enrol

How do I reserve my place and what does the price include?

The reservation forms part of the price of the course and is deducted from it. We will confirm your enrolment in writing, subject to availability, on the agreed terms. The price includes the applicable taxes and will not be changed unilaterally. The standard payment schedule carries no surcharge; any bank charges from returned payments attributable to the student may only include the actual, duly accredited bank charges they cause. For programmes longer than one year, the price shown corresponds to one year of study.

Can I cancel my enrolment if I change my mind?

If you contract at a distance, through the website or by phone, you have 14 calendar days from the date of purchase to exercise your right of withdrawal, without giving any reason and without penalty. You can notify us at escuela@microfusa.com. The refund includes the amounts paid, including the reservation; if you have expressly requested to start within that period, the part of the service already provided will be deducted. The particular conditions of access to digital content are detailed in clause 9 of the general terms and conditions.

What happens if I need to withdraw later?

You may request your withdrawal in writing. Its financial effects depend on the effective date of withdrawal and the payment method: retentions for the reservation, administrative costs, services already provided and a cancellation compensation may apply, as appropriate. Clause 10 details the applicable amounts and deadlines. If a serious, documented circumstance prevents you from continuing, we will consider the alternatives provided for in the terms and conditions, such as a postponement or a change of intake.

What happens if Microfusa cancels the course or makes a substantial change?

If we cancel the intake before it starts, you may choose between an equivalent alternative or a full refund of the amounts paid. If the course has already started, we will offer an equivalent solution or a refund of the part not delivered. In the event of a substantial change to the contracted terms, you may also terminate the contract with a refund corresponding to the services not provided.
